The Evolution of a Logo: The Finish and In Some Sorts Just the Beginning

Can we just say, this was my very first logo. Actually not even, my first logo was I Take Photos with little hearts in some font like comic sans across my images. Wow. Let me just give myself a tiny pat on the back for progress!
But this is the story of my logo. There were many fits, tears, and absolute break down panic attacks. I have to say a huge thank you to Karen for helping me start, Janae for keeping me sane after staring at the same image for days, and to Rachael for helping me transform what was in my head to my final product. I owe you all big time. And of course, as always, thank you to my darling David for not strangling me in my sleep, when I know you really wanted to.

This is the end and the beginning of my ReSTARt progress. The first few months have changed absolutely everything about my business and I am so excited to share this experience with you as my phenomenal clients. A thank you to each and every one of you for all of your incredible support.

Cafe Venae

Is it lunch time yet? I'm seriously drooling thinking about my fabulous lunch last Saturday at Cafe Vanae. Channi's Aunt Mandy has been baking and catering for a while now, and just this last week opened her new cafe at the Mission Mill in Salem. Her baked treats have always been to die for and the food was phenomenal. I'm just dreaming about it all now.

Mandy's oldest daughter Emma was our waitress on her first day in the cafe. Is she not adorable?!

And here is the food. Oh My Delicious! Amazing carrot cake.

Chicken salad on croissant, heavenly.

My chicken caesar salad and cream of spinach soup. YUM! Are you hungry yet?? Seriously, get in your car, drive there now, they're open until 3!

And desert. No more words needed. Die happy eating this chocolate cake.

All in all this is a must visit place! It was the perfect Saturday, I love the family connection in this sweet place and can't wait until my next visit.

Oakway Fitness: Morning Workout

My friend Ryan is a trainer at Oakway Fitness and invited me to photograph one of his workouts last weekend. He and another trainer Tyler held an early morning Functional Fitness session at the park. What a work out! I was seriously impressed with some of the tasks these guys had to complete. The morning was crisp, cold, and beautiful and everyone pushed themselves to the limit. I'm really impressed with Ryan and Tyler and hope that next time I can participate and take a break from the camera!

One of the challenges was to carry your partner, Ryan shows be example here how you can pick up everyone. Seriously, are you not impressed by these guys yet?

Thank you to Ryan, Tyler, and Oakway Fitness for inviting me to this event and I encourage everyone to check out the next one!

I did a little bit of playing with video on my camera. It's new so go easy on me, but it was a lot of fun!
