Seniors: Sandy and Abby

I have been so excited to share Sandy's second session for a few reasons:
1) My friend Michael took some amazing behind the scenes photos that I will be sharing with you soon
2) Sandy's best friend Abby joined us (her senior session is on its way!) and
3) Everything about this session was GORGEOUS!

It was raining all day and I was so worried about being able to even shoot, but it held out for the two hours we were there and the fog in the mountains were perfection. These girls were amazing and (of course) stood in the freezing water, Sandy even laid in the water twice. Let me tell you, I am a born and raised Alaskan and that water was frigid!

Sandy, thank you so much for all of your time and effort for your senior sessions. You were amazing and game for anything I asked you to try, your pictures are 100% worth it! I wish you the best on your senior year. You are an incredible girl.

Abby thank you so much for joining us on this session, I can't wait to get the rest of your pics up and show off your gorgeous face! You and Sandy are fabulous and I'm excited to hear stories from your last year at Palmer!

Engagement: Marcy and Kyle

I have been dying to post this for weeks! Months really, Marcy informed me she was engaged but hadn't been able to tell one of her bridesmaids (my sister!) and it needed to be kept a secret and it was a killer to keep but I did! These two are officially engaged and their wedding date set for next July. It was my first shoot back in Alaska and it was so great to be back with an Alaskan couple in the great outdoors! They are as sweet as can be and I truly loved photographing the both of them.

Congratulations Marcy and Kyle! Thank you for having me photograph your engagement and being so amazing.

Family: The Verleys

Aly hired me a while back to take pictures of her adorable dog Thor. It turns out by the time I got to Alaska, Aly was due with a little boy! We wanted to include the whole family with the new little one on the way. Aly has some serious love for this dog and they have the sweetest connection. I've known her for quite some time and it is wonderful to see her and her family grow.

Thank you Aly for having me come take your pictures! I adore Thor and I can't wait to meet little Landon Cruz!

Feel the Love: Hayley and Kenny

Hayley won my Feel the Love Giveaway and I was really excited to get to work with her this summer. She is gorgeous and her boyfriend Kenny is just as handsome. These two are such a fun couple, when I saw the tie dye I knew it would be a great shoot.
They are so sweet and full of laughter, I love couples that can be themselves and tender while still knowing how to let loose and have a blast. I mean seriously, who is awesome enough to have matching tie dye outfits?! And they were bomb and let me put them in the river.
I should probably just put that in my contract from now on, "I apologize for making you stand in freezing water-but I promise the crazy things I make you do are always worth it!"

Have I told you how obsessed I am with this tie dye yet?!

Kenny and Hayley, thank you so much for running around like crazy with me, standing in the water, and dealing with the interesting people along the way. You two are sweet and amazing and I'm so glad I could be here to take your pictures!
